Misc Details
When GMTK released the video on the SIMS AI, i started work on my implementation of a Utility AI or "Needs-based AI." I'm developing what I'm calling "MotiveAI" as a plugin for my other game.
When I saw that the jam theme was "Roles Reversed", i came up with this idea of monkeys with one role that physically have to switch roles to resolve disasters.
This was going to be my submission to GMTK 2023 but I'm a dumb american and thought i had until sunday night because i didnt start until saturday morning. I didn't lose any sleep over the jam but i was too busy polishing on sunday to notice that the submissions were closing at noon on sunday.
Regardless of if submitted on time, it was nice because i was able to test and work through any kinks in my motiveAI implementation.
